However, eBusiness has a wider definition.

Business to Consumer (B2C) selling may indeed lead to a credit / debit card sale, but it could also lead to an account based sale which is settled monthly in arrears after the customer is supplied with a statement. We have created our own eCommerce solution, based upon our experience and typical customer requirements and are able to deploy a customized instance very quickly.

Business to Business (B2B) selling aims to open up the supply chain or procurement process. Defining how business communicate electronically is a key issue in this arena, with EDI already having a head start followed closely by XML, the current standard in data formatting and Business to Business communication. Microsoft's Biztalk Server is specially designed for communication at this level.
